The 28th of October all of MMT peronnel and vessels gathered at Skeppsbron in Stockholm together with 150 friends.
After one year of upgrading, our new multipurpose vessel IceBeam was officially namned at a huge party in Stockholm. The vessel is equipped for geophysical and geotechnical survey assignments as well as for ROV work. The champange bottle was crushed by the ROV manipulator arm.
She is equipped with two subAtlantic Mohican ROVs in purpose built LARS and TMS systems. This will assure Launch and Recovery in all weather. She is also fitted with Multibeam echo sounders, Side scan sonars, sub-bottom profilers as well as cranes and a-frame constructed to handle up to 10 tons with 8 meters height, making her well suited for geotechnical coring. Her fuel consumption is less than 1m3 per day on DP which makes her a green vessel indeed.
MMT yearly conference was held before the meeting where we actually met all 180 for the first time. During the conference discussions were held regarding HSEQ, New technical solutions, Business strategy and labor related questions. Euro techno artist E-Type
After the naming, all guests and colleagues enjoyed food, musical diversions and dancing. Thanks to everybody that came to participate on our great day!
